FRIM (Forest Research Institute of Malaysia) located at suburb city of Petaling Jaya, approximately 16km North West of the capital city. This place founded in 1929. The size of this area is 600 hectares tropical forest contains a wealth of flora and fauna with approximately 15,000 species of plants though for a layman in botanic, all of them look like greeneries.


There a lot of interesting place in FRIM. The most famous one is Canopy Walk.


The 200m canopy walkway that is suspended 30m above ground on the tree species called Chukrasia tabularis, Intsia palembanica, Artocarpus elasticus and Shorea pauciflora.





The height of the canopy from the ground is 30 meter and spans over 200 meter. From the hanging canopy of the trees, you will be able to see the breath taking view of the city and the greeneries of the forest. Besides the Canopy Walk, there are waterfalls, nature trail and lots of rare species of trees.
